About Us

President  Anastasios Hadjipateras

Since taking over leadership of Midas, Anastasios (Stas) has spearheaded successful sales and fundraising initiatives. In 2022, he launched the new “Peace” line of products to raise awareness and funds for Ukrainian refugees. Almost $13,000 has been raised through fundraising campaigns and merchandise sales for refugee causes, including the IOCC’s Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund and The Home Project, an organization in Greece that provides group homes and psychological support for unaccompanied minor refugees. With Midas’s donation, The Home Project installed air-conditioning units in one of its group homes in Athens.

Stas is currently a Junior at Garden City High School. He was born in Greece and moved to the US when he was seven years old. He maintains very close ties to Greece and sees Midas as a way to share his culture. He also started an educational campaign called “Faces of Our World,” which strives to educate children around the world about the refugee crisis (facesofourworld.org). This summer Stas will be teaching English through play to Ukrainian refugee children at The Home Project.
